    75 Clashes, Russia Increases Pressure on the Frontline

    Since the beginning of the day, the Ukrainian frontline has witnessed 75 intense clashes. Notably, Russian forces launched more than 30 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, as reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

    “The Russian military continues to relentlessly assault Ukrainian positions. However, our defense forces have inflicted significant losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment,” the General Staff stated.

    Border areas have also endured artillery shelling from Russian territory, particularly in Studenok and Bachivsk (Sumy Oblast), and Medvedivka and Tymonovychi (Chernihiv Oblast).

    Situation in Strategic Areas

    • Kharkiv Direction: Russia twice attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses at Vovchansk and Kozacha Lopan but failed.
    • Kupiansk Direction: Six attacks occurred near Petropavlivka and Pishchane. Three engagements have concluded, while three are ongoing.
    • Lyman Direction: Russian forces attacked seven times at Kopanky, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Terny, and Zarichne, with some assaults still unresolved.
    • Kramatorsk Direction: Ukrainian defense forces repelled eight attacks at Bila Hora, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky. Four other battles are still in progress.
    • Toretsk Direction: Nine Russian attacks took place at Toretsk, Bila Hora, and Shcherbynivka. Fighting continues.
    • Pokrovsk Direction: Russia launched 33 attacks aiming to push Ukrainian forces from key positions such as Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zelene, and Novovasylivka. Ukraine repelled 22 attacks, with 11 engagements still ongoing.

    In areas like Orikhiv, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi, no significant military activity from Russia was reported.

    Heavy Russian Losses in the Past 24 Hours

    On January 10, the Russian military suffered losses exceeding 1,500 soldiers. Other losses include:

    • 10 tanks,
    • 18 armored combat vehicles,
    • 28 artillery systems,
    • 1 air defense system,
    • 74 tactical UAVs,
    • 61 transport vehicles,
    • 3 pieces of special equipment.

    Ukrainian rocket forces and artillery struck key strategic targets, including:

    • 2 command posts,
    • 2 air defense systems,
    • 2 ammunition depots,
    • 10 areas of troop concentration,
    • 2 electronic warfare stations.

    Overview

    The war in Ukraine remains complex, with Russia intensifying pressure across multiple fronts. Nevertheless, Ukraine’s defense forces continue to hold the line and inflict severe losses on the enemy, reinforcing their determination to protect their territory.
